Melbourne’s mischievous minx! Poppy Cherry is a full-time Melbourne burlesque producer and performer, currently employed as the Events and Entertainment Manager at the Burlesque Bar in Fitzroy.
Specialising in irresistible, comedic theatrical burlesque tease, Poppy is a resident performer at Burlesque Bar, and has appeared at numerous burlesque events, including: The Australian Burlesque Festival, Cabaret Cirlesque, Red Door Burlesque, Dr Sketchy’s, Madame Natalia’s Lolitas, Cirque de Femmes, The Wrong Crowd, Shimmy Shake, Strawberry Sundays, Three JJJacks, The Starlight Ball, Attack of The 5ft Woman, Drawing Straws, 24 Moons and more.
Poppy has also produced the successful burlesque / stage productions ‘Bacchanalia: The Burlesque Circus at the End of The World’, ‘Stage Fright!’, ‘Kiss Me Deadly’ and ‘Poppy’s Peepshow’, as well as 3 feature films. Poppy is very excited to be joining the Australian Burlesque Festival as their Stage Manager for 2012, and helping to showcase Australia’s incredible burlesque talent around the country!
