On stage it’s not just what you do but how you do it. Masterful musicality is one of the hallmarks of every star of the stage. This session invites you to a refreshing new approach to both music and expression. We’ll move far beyond the bump and grind basics to develop a keen ear for clever new opportunities in the music for surprise and sizzle. Diving even deeper, we’ll explore our own sense memories to encourage a breathtaking new range of expression. We’ll use the textures of our real life adventures to perform through the mask of our stage personas for delicious new authenticity. Using very simple tease techniques we will move beyond the surface notes of the cutesy coquette or the deadly vamp to create something more truthful, hypnotic and enduring. Come be unforgettable! All you need is a pair of gloves, your favourite dance heels and a sense of adventure! Notebooks are encouraged.
