Workshop with Coco Framboise

On stage it’s not just what you do but how you do it. Masterful musicality is one of the hallmarks of every star of the stage. This session invites you to a refreshing new approach to both music and expression. We’ll move far beyond the bump and grind basics to develop a keen ear for clever new opportunities in the music for surprise and sizzle. Diving even deeper, we’ll explore our own sense memories to encourage a breathtaking new range of expression. We’ll use the textures of our real life adventures to perform through the mask of our stage personas for delicious new authenticity. Using very simple tease techniques we will move beyond the surface notes of the cutesy coquette or the deadly vamp to create something more truthful, hypnotic and enduring. Come be unforgettable! All you need is a pair of gloves, your favourite dance heels and a sense of adventure! Notebooks are encouraged.

This advanced exploration is open to bold students of all levels.

Private Lessons

Book your private session with Coco Framboise, creator of Canada’s most extensive burlesque curriculum.  Instruction and consulting available for all levels on topics including tease techniques, character charisma, audience connection, innovation and improv, gags and gimmicks, prop operas and costume dramas, branding and signature shows, networking and negotiation, career coaching, and more!  Solo, semi-private, and full troupe appointments available!

Workshop with Peekaboo Pointe

Classes in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane & Sydney!

 

Pow! Clap! Bounce! Shake! Pop! And SPIN! In this class Peekaboo Pointe, known as The Fastest Tassel Twirler from East to West, will take the tassels to the next level…lower. Moving them from Boob to Butt, in this energetic gyrating Ass-tassel class
you’ll learn to bounce and shimmy your booty and mesmerize your audience with 4 tassels! You’ll get a workout and learn many butt techniques to get it popping, shaking, bouncing and finally…spinning!

Please bring a towel, yoga mat, or knee pads if your knees are sensitive.

For those who do not have tassels, there will be some available for purchase at the class.

All levels welcome.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the class commences.

About Peekaboo Pointe

Peekaboo Pointe (New York City), known as the Fastest Tassel Twirler from East to West, has been performing all over the world for the last decade. Peekaboo started out as a classically trained dancer and received a BFA in Dance performance and Choreography in 2002. She began teaching burlesque classes in 2005 and has loved every minute of teaching. She uses her background in Dance to develop classes to help her students learn dance skills that will help them onstage and off. Peekaboo structures her classes for every level of dancer, from the very beginner to the burlesque performer with a dance background. Peekaboo is also a certified Pilates instructor, and she makes sure that every class has a little bit of core workout too!

Private Lessons with Peekaboo:

Peekaboo Pointe is available for private lessons as well. Are you having trouble with tassel twirling and want some pointers? Need assistance on choreographing your new number? Peekaboo was voted the “Most Sensual Performer” and can definitely give you pointers on how to make your next act a little bit dirtier? Or do you need the eyes of another performer to see how to make your act stronger? Using her degree in Choreography, Peekaboo is available for choreographic assistance or to just learn a few new dance moves to step up your game!

Private lessons: $80 for a one hour session *$20 discount if also attending group class.

A Vintage-Inspired make up workshop focusing on eyes and lips.

What to Bring:

• Free-standing portable mirror
• False lashes if you’d like to try them!
• Your own make up & brushes, to include:
