4. Workshop bio:“Rework, Revise, Revive: How to Level Up Your Act” is a masterclass in refining your burlelsque act by approaching it from a lovingly critical viewpoint. Whether breathing new life into an old act, putting finishing touches on new work, or getting a favorite “festival ready,” workshopping is an essential part of the creation process. Together, we will identify our goals for our acts, examine the effectiveness of the choices we’ve made, and make plans for change. We will aim to refine the framework, costume, energetic expression, choreography and staging. The class gives students an opportunity to bring an act to workshop, and each student leaves with a workbook so they can apply this same process repeatedly throughout their career!
